Supported by Indosat’s connectivity and AI technology, SheHacks enables women-led MSMEs to learn, grow, and unlock greater business opportunities from anywhere.
Jakarta, June 5th, 2026 – Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) launched SheHacks as part of its commitment to bridging the gap in women’s access to digital capabilities, supportive ecosystems, and growth opportunities across Indonesia. As digital transformation continues to accelerate, women entrepreneurs and MSME owners need greater access to learning opportunities, mentorship, connectivity, and technology to build more adaptive and competitive businesses. While digital technology has long enabled businesses to expand their market reach and connect with more customers, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now creating new opportunities for women entrepreneurs to generate ideas, improve productivity, better understand customer needs, and accelerate business growth.
For MSMEs, AI is no longer just a technology for large corporations. It has also become a practical tool that can help entrepreneurs improve productivity, better understand customer needs, develop marketing strategies, and expand their business reach. This is becoming increasingly important given that, according to Indonesia’s Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA), 64.5% of MSMEs in Indonesia are owned or managed by women. As women continue to make a significant contribution to the national economy, access to technology and AI is becoming increasingly critical to help women entrepreneurs strengthen their capabilities, enhance competitiveness, and unlock more sustainable growth opportunities for their businesses.
Over the past six years, SheHacks has empowered more than 61,000 women across the country through business capacity-building programs, digital learning opportunities, mentorship, and the development of a technology-enabled entrepreneurial ecosystem. Continuing its mission to help women entrepreneurs expand their businesses through technology, SheHacks 2026 introduces a more relevant approach to today’s business needs. The program is designed to help women-led MSMEs leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) in practical ways to improve productivity, strengthen marketing strategies, better understand customer needs, create content and promotional materials, and manage their businesses more effectively.
Ovidia Nomia, SVP Head of Corporate Communications at Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison said, “Since its inception, SheHacks has continuously evolved to address the changing needs of Indonesian women. This year, we are placing a stronger focus on AI as we see this technology playing an increasingly important role in how people learn, work, build businesses, and innovate. Through SheHacks, we want to ensure that women have equal opportunities to understand and harness technology—not only as users, but also as creators, innovators, and drivers of economic growth. In line with our #LebihBaik spirit, we believe technology should create broader opportunities and deliver meaningful benefits to society. With the support of connectivity and AI, we hope more women can build their own ‘better version’ of themselves—whether by starting a business, growing an enterprise, or unlocking greater opportunities in the digital era.”
A Space for Women MSME Entrepreneurs to Learn and Grow
Entering its seventh year, SheHacks continues its mission to help more Indonesian women entrepreneurs grow their businesses for the better through access to learning opportunities, mentorship, digital technology, and practical AI solutions that can be applied to everyday business needs.
SheHacks 2026 aims to empower 27,000 women-led MSMEs through a six-month interactive learning journey featuring self-paced learning modules, webinars, online workshops, mentoring sessions, and business showcase opportunities, all designed to be accessible anytime, from anywhere.
The program will also be strengthened through offline workshops across 10 cities in Indonesia, including Bandung, Trenggalek, Medan, Bogor, Ternate, Bekasi, Pekanbaru, Badung, Singkawang, and Sragen. Participants will take part in inspiring talk shows and live-selling sessions alongside fellow women entrepreneurs, communities, influencers, and Indosat representatives. They will also learn how to leverage AI to support marketing activities, content creation, and financial management through Sahabat-AI, Indonesia’s homegrown Large Language Model (LLM) designed to address practical, everyday business needs.
Through SheHacks 2026, Indosat encourages women to leverage technology and AI as part of their #LebihBaik journey to grow and scale their businesses. By combining learning opportunities, mentorship, and access to technology, SheHacks aims to unlock greater opportunities for Indonesian women to keep driving their businesses forward.
